My dad started teaching me guitar (on his acoustic). It’s hard for him to teach me though cuz we only have one guitar. I love the sound of acoustic, and playing by yourself is better cuz its softer. But if i ever wanted to perform for our schools Battle of the Bands or Talent Show electric would be better. My dad also has a bass guitar too, which i could play.

you should start with the acoustic because strings are softer than electric guitar strings. You start with acoustic gain some strenght in your fingers and then you pass to electric. In that ways your fingers will be less cut or harmed.

get an electric cuz you can just turn off the distortion and get a clean acoustic sound, so its like having an electric and an acoustic
there is also more access to the higher frets

well you can always mic an acoustic on stage but it all comes down to whther or not you want to be able to play anywhere, like the park, chilling with friends. acoustic guitars are staple in the songwritters toolset.
