    @myhouseisyourpants: It really doesn’t matter how “refined” the technique is or how hard something is to play, what matters is the music!

    Thanks for this, dmanlamius, i love all your stuff on youtube and you’ve really helped me progress as a bass player and as a musician in general. You’ve even helped me to learn to learn by ear, you can’t normally find tabs or music of your songs. ;-)
    PS: and that technique is pretty tight!!!

    1:15 Les Claypool does use that technique, but quite different. he doesn’t pop both string but just opens his fist against both string to get the same sound.
    Not really different. Just harder and less sound getting out of it in my opinion.
