    Bass and drums are the foundation to any band. They are the backbone to music. You prbably listen to alot of loud agrresive music. You can’t really notice it but if it was taken out the music would sound hollow. Bass gives you a fuller sound. Listen to old R&B to see how important the bass is.

    Well, that’s because you’ve gotta really listen in for the bass! And it’s pretty much once the Bass is taken out of a song do you really notice the massive impact it has!
    Kinda like this:
    Drums are the heart of the band
    Guitar is the appeal
    Vocals are the drive
    and Bass is the glue that holds everything together =D

    Weel, after my unsuccessful band while playing lead guitar i switched to bass, since no one wants to be bass, and played. It’s better than nothing. I never understood what a bass does in a band. You can barely hear it. Does it add a bit of beat to the song?
