    in a G scale its G-A-B-C-D-E-F#-G
    its that same progression in any major scale

    i always thought that the scale notes didnt change when you canged it up or down, say G for example.
    so the G major scale would be G-A-B-C-D-E-F-G
    like the C skale: C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C
